There are sooooo many differing opinions on which exhaust..intake..short shifter..what have you....I'd do some searches in the forum..lots of good stuff written about any and all mods....gonna take some time....theres tons of info

As for me Borla exhaust is next....

As I'm in NY I cant help with the mechanic...

Good luck and Welcome

Exhaust from the cat back will not really provide a horsepower increase.. You might be lucky to gain 3-4 horsepower if any at all... The exhaust is for looks and sound... If you are going to do long tube headers.. you can expect 20-30 hp with LG's and a good tune.. I went with the Borla Stingers, quad tip.. Best thing to do is go to a Local Corvette Club Meeting and listen to other members systems... Everyone has a different opinion.. Don't expect a horsepower gain from the catback systems... It's all about the sound.. Some sound like crap and others sound great.. Some can't stand the drone of the Borla Stingers... Does not bother me... Like I said,, look and listen at your vette club..Make YOUR OWN mind up... Don't let another Forum member make a descision for you,, because that is THIER opinion
B&B,Corsa,Zo6 titaniums,Borla are a few of the more popular choices for exhaust. KOOKS,LG,American Racing are popular headers.. Way to many brands of exhaust and headers to list... Happy hunting

There's a million different opinions on this stuff.Headers will add HP with a tune.Exhausts help the car breathe better, but not much HP. Just get what SOUNDS good to you. The consensus about intakes is that either the Calloway Honker, or the Vararam with get you the most HP gain because they draw COLD AIR from outside the engine bay ( look for special pricing on these from forum venders). Blackwings, K&N, etc have better flowing filters than stock, but still draw warm air from inside the engine bay.Another good mod is gears. Going from stock to something higher will wake up the car.Stock A4 is 2.73(maybe 3.15 optional axel), and stock M6 is 3.42. Check the forum for posts about these. I've got a friend who has LG headers, GHL exhaust, mild cam and heads, and a 4.10 rear with an M6. The car pulls like crazy to me, but I've only done the Vararam so far in mine.I've read alot here, and talked to alot of members here on NE Runs, so I'm still trying to decide. Probably going to 3.42's since I've got an A4. My advice...read all you can here and do a search on each topic. It will take you days to go through all the info here. Good luck. Remember to wave.
