Default Tune question?

After cam install the tuner had to tweek the tune a couple of times to get it perfect. I unplugged the battery for about an hour or so and and now when I replugged it the car seems like it reverted back to some things before the tune was perfectect, could unplugging the battery cause this? It would hold idle to abut 1500 , the drop down where it should be ,before the last tweek.Should I give it a couple of days to see it it will relearn the tune? Seems strange to me ?????

Drive it around for a while and let it relearn. It should straighten itself out in an afternoon drive.

Thanks,
Drove it to lunch today , seems a little better . I see you are a tuner , is this normal from unplugging the battery?

I'm not a tuner, but from what I understand, once your Vette's computer is reflashed/reprogrammed, it will NOT revert back to prior settings without being "reflashed" by a programmer - and disconnecting the battery should be similar to unplugging your home computer from the wall outlet

I would have never thought it either but it sure is doing it and didnt happen until I unplugged the battery. I installed HID lights and for sure dont thing that would cause a problem. The car runs pretty good but the it has the surging problem that it had before the last tweek. If it comes down to it I will take it back to the tuner and have it reset but I would like to know why its did this ..... its very strange.

This is true. But, all PCMs go thru a relearn process after you disconnect/reconnect power. The tune doesnt change, but the adjustments that the pcm makes on its own do.
Even a bone stock car and tune will have some issues after an interruption in battery power.
Also, if the tune was off, or if certain parts of it are off, the relearn process will take longer as the computer has to compensate even more.

Not a tuner here, but as I understand it if the battery is disconnected for an extended period the STFT's 0 them self's out and that will affect the LTFT's until the relearn is completed.
