Default Anyone try BPP's new Headers?

Breathless Performance has a new 2-piece long tube step header that includes a removable exhaust pipe from one of the cylinders to help in the installation.
I really want some headers, but all this talk lately has left me really confused as to what I should get? From earlier threads, it looks like I will avoid TPIS headers for poor quality and TTS headers for being a pain in the but to install. Belanger headers look like an option or I may concentrate on one of the tuner's headers?

Haven't seen the BPP yet but I have installed quite a few sets of the TTS as well as TPIS. I don't think the TTS are any harder and the quality is better by far. I'll have to call BPP and get a price on the new ones and compare with the TTS. I have the TTS at $1149 in the Forum Mall.

Wouldn't a 2 piece design offer less hassle in the future when I am in need of a clutch replacement? :D

I have to agree with Andy, we have not had any complaints of the TTS being that much harder to install. They are a bit more difficult than the TPIS but I have a feeling that has to do with the heavier duty materials and thicker flanges.

I saw the BPP Long Tubes at the Labor Day event in BG and they looked pretty decent. The actual flange at the head splits in two for easier install, and then the collector seperates as well so that header removal for clutch install is not necessary. Very good ideas, but I am not convinced yet on the quality of the seal where the headers split. Time will tell. I do like the stepped design of the new BPP ones though. They will be great for larger displacement engines.

I may be wrong, but aren't the TTS headers narrower in diameter that the TPIS. I don't know if this makes a diference in gain or not?

don't forget Mallett... they are working on headers PORT MATCHED to the Z06. I just got email today from Mallett and they said they'd keep me informed on the availability. I believe they are stainless too.

I've been waiting for someone... ANYONE... to make something LS6 specific. To all the other LS-6 guys interested... email Mallett and show your interest.

If I remember correctly, the BPP headers were kinda pricey compared to the rest. Around $1500 if I remember correctly.

Yeah, but you forgot the 10% discount for forum members. :p: I know that still leaves them a little pricey, but I was thinking that extra cost may pay for itself in the future when the headers don't have to be removed when I need a new clutch.
