Default New Pads and Rotors

This weekend I installed PowerSlot rotors and GM ceramic pads. After the installation, I took the car out and bedded in the brakes per the manufacturers instructions. The front rotors look clean while the rear rotors have some black streaks on it. Is it residue from the pads and will it wear off in time or did I do something wrong? Thanks.

This is normal when using GM pads. I have found that bedding pads with PowerSlots is not really necessary. I now have 15,000 miles on my PowerSlots and have never experienced the dreaded pulsating brakes. I'm fairly certain that these will be the last rotors I will ever need to buy.

They will be fine, this is normal for new pads and rotors. It will take some time for the rotors to get that semi-polished look.

So far so good. The peddle is good and they stop fine for the type of driving I do. The only problem I have is cosmetic with the black streaks on the rotors and whether it would wear off or not.
