You'll probably have to adjust the idle airflow, decay etc to get it to idle correctly. If it's unported depending on your mods you may not need to adjust the VE or PE. The Fast 90 unported on a mild engine is probably only going to net 5rwhp or so.
If the intake and TB actually make significant power, then it would be worth it to tune both the VE table and MAF. It's my understanding that the LS PCM still references the VE tables in addition to the MAF below 3k. But unless he's running a pretty healthy combo the Fast/90 probably won't make a difference big enough to merit serious changes.
I will be installing heads and cam and ported FAST90/90 on my 02 ZO6 soooooooon. This is good info! Thanks for sharing! EFI Live will be the tuning software that i will use.
Also interested. Two different tuners have had a crack at my setup, and it still doesn't idle worth a s**t. Mine has a Cartek ported FAST, and a Tony Mamo ported TB.
i read something about scaling the effective area by 48%. anyone know?
Scaling the VE table? That is usually done for a cam swap (the why do I smell like I took a bath in high octane when I start my car issue). For just the 90mm Intake and TB I don't think you are looking at anything nearly that drastic. Your biggest problems will be adjusting the airflow for the TB at idle.
