Default Replacement shocks....

My '99 frc w/ 38000 miles tends to wander slightly, so I am going to replace the shocks. Which ones are the best ? Are the Bilstein's on ebay good quality? Thanks.

the issue is more likely alignment than shocks...

You are probably right, but as long as I'm going over the suspension, are the shocks ready for replacement at 38k?

I changed/replaced my 02 ZO6 shocks with C6 06 ZO6 shocks. There a direct bolt on replacement! I had a couple of people tell me that the ride is significantly better than my old shocks ( its a little firmer)

When I examined the old shocks (42,000 miles on them), they were still in very good condition! They still had a lot of dampening action and all the pressure.

I would have to agree with rws.1,,,your issue is most likely alignment.

If you decide to go with new shocks, I highly recommend the Bilstein Sports. I was after a firm, responsive, performance type ride without going really harsh. I have read where others say the ride is too harsh with the Bilsteins, but I like it and my wife hasn't complained (she loves the car). I also autocross and participate in track days so I wanted a good performing system for both street and track. I got it with ZO6 springs, Hotchkiss bars and the Bilstein's. There are lots of choices and just as many opinions!

Default While you're at it - Aluminum Sway Bar End Links

I replaced the shocks on my '99 FRC with C6Z06 shocks and replaced the composite sway bar end links with 2004 C5Z06 aluminum sway bar end links. I really like the ride. No matter what you do as far as shocks go, replace the composite/plastic sway bar end links with the C5 aluminum ones.

Yes....I already have replaced the links..front and rear. Those plastic ones looked a little scarey when you took them off, didn't they? Thanks for the input...I'm ordering the Bilsteins.
