I added one to my 99 and felt a a surge over 4500 RPM's. I too am waiting for someone to have one dyno'd. Just one question if they do the dyno right after the install and don't do a computer re-learn I'm sure the numbers won't look much different. But after a 100 miles on my car I sure could feel the difference.
I did it on my 2000 FRC..
It does seem stronger on the top end but don't have any data other than the seat of the pants. IT took me about 20 minutes as I had a minor skirmish with the PCV hose.
awright, awright, I'm am obviously stupid but how do you get the airbox cover off??? Am I just babying it??? It seems that the rubber grommets at the bottom are right up against something metal so how do you pry this thing off???
I got the latches undone and I saw the old use the wrench from ur circular saw thing and tried that...wouldn't budge.
Suggestions??? Sheeeeeeeesh, how embeariskin.'  :cry

Unhook the latches, remove the filter and filter holder. Pop one side off at a time. They do take a little bit of effort. Reach down right next to the pins and pull/push towards the rear of the car. The rubber grommets may pull out when you remove the cover but they go back in without any problem. The new cover has the grommets already installed.
Just use your hands and a little steady gentle force will pop it off. Good Luck!
