Default Thermostat problem

I have a 2001 Coupe. I installed Breathless Performances 172/178 Thermostat the other day. The problem is that the temperature has not gone down at all!!!

What is the deal?

Did you install a fan controller too? Need that for the fans to come on early.

Wrong:I added a .12 spacer at the bottom of my stock thermostat,i run at 178/176 on the freeway, with NO fans on,take the stock thermostat apart an add a spacer were the plunger bottoms out.
I have my vinci fan controller to turn on at 185,because it dosent matter what thermostat you have, when your siten in a drive thru,or long light, your temp well rise tell the fans turn on/
194 seems to be the highest mine goes too
69.00 for a thermostat an some dont work, this mod on the stock thermostat works/by the way if you add like a .06/.09 shim you run at 181/183
