Default Driving without sway bar ?

something is making squeeking noise and I took out the sway bar bushings and grease them but still getting same noise. Is it ok to drive the car without the bushings just to see if the noise is from the bushings? thx.

On my 00 Trans am I had I didn't have the rear swaybar on and it drove fine. Had a little more body roll on the turns, but helped getting traction on launches.
I am not sure at all if it's similar to our C5's as I am still learning about these every day.

I am just going to take out the bushings and drive it up and down the driveway to see if it squeeks.

So you're still leaving the bar in, just taking the bushings?? You might get rid of the sqeak but you will surely hear the clunk! It won't hurt anything but the bar will eb bouncing around. If you are talking about removing the hwoel bar, you will be fine. The sway bar ades in stabilizing the car in the corners.
