Well, took the 5 to the dealer today with a harness K problem (in hand). This harness k has been removed from the vehicle and drives great! Install it you get the old wait ten seconds pull key, but get this, the dealer informed me that it's best not to install a second harness K... that I would have this problem again. Is this true? Has anyone experienced this? Have read several posts but what ?????????????:
Recommend that you call the GM Custormer Service Center and file a complaint with them. They will contact the dealer and that should get some sort of answer. At least you will have a file number and a case#

Yes, it is safe to drive. Suggest you forget about getting another dealer / GM supplied K-Harness. Instead I strongly recommend you do like most others here on the forum, order a CLB unit from Corvettes of Houston or Thunder Racing, about $50 and install the CLB and be done with your Column Lock problems. That's what I did when my dealer installed K-Harness failed last year. No problems since I installed the CLB.
