Default help identifying these wires

hey guys, my freind bought a 02 corvette that needed some work, but he took on the project. there seems to be two wires that were pulled and torn apart for some reason, and I dont know where it goes. Its two little wires encased in a black wire, and it has a yellow plastic pin conected to it, and it is located near the key hole. anyone know what this is and where it goes? someone told me that it has to do with reading the chip on the key? any help is apreciated! Thankyou!!!!

Your discription sounds like the 'VATS' wires. There should be a wire attached (two thin wires in a sleeve) attached to the ignition switch assy.

hey guys, dam you are all good!! its two small thin wires encased in a black sleeve... it looks a lot like the black wire on the top of picture number 5. (the picture with the guys hand in it) the car will crank over and run for a second, but then stall without these wires connected, right?
