I have a 2000 Coupe with 50,000 miles on it. Some people are telling me to take it in for a "tune-up" When you take the vehicle in for this type of service what does it usually entail? Just wondering what most mechanics would do, cause I may just be able to do all the work myself. Thanks for any info.
When I got mine, it had 54,000 on her. I replaced the plugs, wires, air filter, cleaned the MAF, cleaned the radiator grille(under the shroud), oil changed, check all hoses.
I am planning to change the Dexcool soon. GM says it is good to 100,000 miles, but most here will change it out WAY before that. I believe the new antifreeze has a better formulation than original Dexcool had. If you decide to change the antifreeze, change the T-stat as well.

In addition, suggest you include replacement of PCV valve, and fuel filter / pressure regulator, as well as A4 transmission oil and filter change, brake fluid flush / replacement, and rear differential fluid replacement.
