MY OPINION>>>>>>but, headers are headers. If you wanna spend 2k on LG's, they look great and make the best power, But i opted for TPIS, which look just as good and maybe get 3 less HP. and they are a 3rd of the cost. Its the name you are buying. Head over to C5 parts and pick up some used ones

I am considering AR headers but I am wondering what kind of cat backs will bolt up to them the easiest. I have been looking at magnapacs but looking at pics of the catback and of the headers it doesn't look like I would be able to use magnapacs with AR headers. Any advice?

Having seen the AR headers up close in that picture, and having spent a couple of hours under my car yesterday, I can say the difference between AR, and LG is striking. I'll bet the LGs primary tubes are almost a foot longer than the ARs, and I know the Kooks are shorter, too. More torque, over a wider power band, is the biggest benefit of the TRUE longtube headers, NOT peak power numbers.

And all these prices being thrown around don't seem right, either. I paid $1400 shipped for my LG Pros, with the o/r X pipe.

Easy is installing air bridge, or some tires and wheels. No header job on a corvette is easy, except for possibly shorty headers. You obviously didn't even think to do that, but that is the 'sound' way to install a set of headers, by protecting the items around it that weren't designed for the additional heat that headers produce.

Heck, you can't even jack a vette up to the requisite 18" and lower it back down to the ground in less than a half hour, unless you have a lift...

Easy is not the term I would use to describe a LT header install on a C5 vette, and I would say that YOU were misleading people to say it was!
30 minutes to jack up a car Well now that you put it that way... Your correct and the rest of us are wrong.

I've done over a dozen headers installs and I'm no where near a "mechanic" hell I do policy work for a living. I can tell you that having access to a lift makes life a WHOLE lot easier.

of all the headers I've done the LG's were the overall easiest to install (at least on the C6). The cats were one piece with the longtubes which means less breaks, which ultimately means less chance of leaks

My first C6 I had Dynatech LT's and notice a significant loss in TQ down low (SOTP down low was gone) it pulled like crazy up top though. Rev'd much more free too.

The LGs really gave me much more in the mid range and I could really tell.

Now I have a C5 I'll probably go with the larger primaries (Dynatech Supermaxx) due to the C5 running an ATI.
