red light camera spray

I think your best bet would be to stop at red lights, but that's just a silly observation.
Most likely, they are a waste of money.
A lot of drivers had high hopes for that spray stuff.
76 MPH on the 101 gets you and your car, a lovely set of snapshots, front and rear.... (suitable for framing).... that is forwarded to the Scottsdale PD. Not for their family photo albums, but to issue the lucky recipient a citation.

I tried the spray stuff on my plates becasue my couunty is getting quite enthusiastic about speed cameras. I don't recklessly speed through residential areas but let's all admit that we're not always driving right at the posted limit. I don't know if the spray stuff works (and I kind of doubt it does, to be honest), but so far -- knock on wood -- I haven't gotten any surprises in the mail.
And i fully agree with you about red lights -- I hate seeing people run them -- it's just stupid and selfish to think it's OK to blaze through 'em. Yellow means start stopping, not gun it.
They are not installed to prevent red light running, they are set up to provide a cheap source of revenue to the government. No LEO is necessary. Typically it has been found that these units actually increase accidents, usually when someone slams on the brakes when hitting a yellow while doing 45 or so and the car behind them is surprized. The other sneaky is that the red light camera providers recommend a quicker yellow duration setting......
Perhaps what we need is a paint for the red light camera itself. It might be more effective.
I went to court and that was a real eye opener. When the clerk made a specific hand gesture the cited person was ALWAYS NOT GUILTY. One case right before mine was a person who caused a collision with a fire truck because he had his windows closed and A/C and stereo on.
He didn't stop for the fire engine. His reason for inocennce included HE HAD INSURANCE. That is reassuring to the injured firemen. EVERYONE IN PA HAD TO HAVE INSURANCE. WHAT AN EXCUSE.
When I was called up the clerk didn't make any hand gesture. The police officer responded that "I SAW NO TRUCK" but I know he did.
Phila Justice. Now that they have found out about red light cameras and soon to follow speed cameras there will be no mercy on Phila drivers. Don't get me wrong.
I have almost been rear ended MANY TIMES because I slam on the brakes at a yellow light. This is due to my learning to drive in Phila where ANYTHING BUT GREEN IS RED to the Phila police.
Where I live now they have replaced the strobe light cameras with multiple lens digital cameras that don't even have any film. They send the pictures directly to a vendor who picks out whatever picture it takes (it takes many) when you run a red light. Shiny license plates MAY ACTUALLY BE EASIER TO SEE ESPECIALLY AT NIGHT. It is nothing but a money making racket not a traffic enforcement issue. DC is worse.
My wife got a ticket for 42 MPH in as 35 MPH 6 lane divided road and when I paid the tichet the vendor wanted MORE MONEY claiming I didn't pay it FAST ENOUGH. We are living in the Orwellian world where everything you do is now captured on tape or disk.

Photo of my avatar shows my plate blocked. I used a flash at nite but works same in day. I do not advocate the use of this, just used to protect my privacy.

If you think that you are getting more than 3 or 4 seconds here in Md. You better smile and take out your wallet.
