Mine was exactly the opposite and I am sure you read the post from 2-3 weeks ago. I think I would go with the easiest and cheapest method, disconnect the battery for the rest of the night and put it back on in the morning, can't hurt. If that does not reset the acuators then maybe take it back to the shop and tell them to put another can in for you. If the extra can fixes it tell them they eat the cost since they didn't fix it right the first time.
Good luck. I know this is aggrevating as all get out.
Look...mine is not the first experience with this issue and subsequent solution of adding freon...part of the value of this and other forums like it is to learn from others experiences..mine and many others in this situation was just that...adding freon fixed the issue....perhaps thats the cure to his problem perhaps not....
Seeing that you are a forum member since 2004 I find it hard to believe that this is the first time you've heard of a quirky thing that our beloved cars do.....I can think of a ton off of the top ofmy head...i bet you could think of as much....
Getting backto the A/C issue, prior tospending ANY $$$ on parts I'd advise adding freon....the good thing about advice is one can take it or leave it..thats his and your choice....additionally, just because you personally dont experience something doesnt mean it doesnt exist.....
Geez dude, back off a little. Yes it IS the first time I've ever heard of this problem. My apology. I was just wondering how one side could blow cold and the other warm if there was sufficient freon. No need to get your hackles up, I was just curious as to how this could occur.

Sorry if I came on strong...the point is that one side would not blow cold and the other warm if there was sufficient freon....the problem is there if one doesnt have sufficient freon...
Perhaps resetting the actuators will work for him....
If the passenger side is cold and the drivers side warm the most common problem is freon. The reason being is the way the coil is made, it supplies the passenger side first.
If the drivers side is cold and passenger warm, the most common problem is the doors. The easiest fix is to pull up the codes on the DIC and reset, if that doesn't work pull fuse 27 to reset, if that doesn't work disconnect battery. If that doesn't work, you may have to re-index (there was a GM service notice on this) - always try the simple fixes first -

IF you are getting cold air out of one side and not the other, it is because the air diverters are not functioning properly(modulators/actuators).There is only one compressor on a corvette and only one R 134 system. If it is working great on one side........then it is working great!!! DONT DICK WITH THE CHARGE !!!!! Just because you believe it, doesnt mean it is so.Dont perpetuate B.S. in the name of free speech!

BS??????
Do you suggest that those of us who have had the issue corrected by adding freon are full of it???
It seems to me there are a number of people here as in the real world who think they know everything there is to know about everything...
As the old saying goes " a wise man changes his mind, a fool never"
A number of people on this planet believe they have been abducted by aliens and **** probed!!!!!! Your New youk philosophy doesnt wash with me. Ive owned 20 corvettes and been a GM Master Tech for over 30 years. If you want to faith heal your auto ...good luck.Perhaps if we all hold hands and chant we can fix all our cars and find world peace!

You obviously have a chip on your shoulder regarding New York (spell it right, perhaps they didnt teach you that in Master Tech school)...
Why let the FACTS get in the way...I and a number of others have said we fixed our problem with the A/C blowing cold on the pass side and hot on the drivers side in this way.....is not "faith healing"...its how my car now blows so cold you can hang meat in it.....you have the audacity (perhaps thats not a word according to you?) to suggest this wasnt the case....
A person with your attitiude and demeanor must have much difficulty dealing with the public and life in general, anytime an ignorant person loses an argument they resort to personal attacks...hence your attacks...
The spirit of this forum is to share knowledge and experiences with these cars...for some reason this very thread about hot a/c has a couple of you in a twist....again (and for the last time) my a/c was fixed by adding freon....deal with it...
I dont know who you are or where youre from...but I dont suffer fools so I am done with you....
I had the same problem with my 04 Silverado. The problem arrised from a few bad grounds. The dealer had forgotten to tighten them up all the way after they put my dash back together. I also thought I had low or overfull freon, as well as the dealer. That portion was fine. Have you checked grounds for that system?
The illiteration was intentional ! At any rate, this forum is well served only when the readers recieve good advice. If R-134(we no longer use FREON) helped your cooling problem , then it was not cooling properly on either side. That is a simple fact. Those of us who really know the facts dont want the truth convoluted with subjection.Trust us, we are trying to give you acurate advice. You attacked the only member that had a valid question,He was right,You cant have great cooling on one side or the other unless the charge is correct.
I am getting the B0446 H code - it does NOT show up as a current code w/ a "C" - it stays as an "H" code - I can hear the actuator trying to cycle itself, but I cannot get the code to clear itself, even when I press reset on the DIC - I looked up code B0446 and it is the A/C actuator code - apparently there are two extremes to the actuator - stuck on lowest cold or highest heat - mine is apparently stuck on highest heat - the shop manual mentioned either something in the actuator blocking the door from full travel, or some other mechanical defect - but I'm NOT sure what I need to do to fix the problem
Any advise on what to do - I disconnected the battery for 14 hours - didn't help
I've pulled fuses 18 and 27 - didn't help
Do I need to take the dash apart and pull the actuator out or replace it?
I have a feeling its the actuator since the drivers side blows HOT regardless of the temp setting, AC on or off. I will try and charge the freon with the hopes that its the problem. The actuator is expensive and a pain to get at. I'll keep you all informed what it turns out to be when I get around to it
Had the same problem on my '99. I disconnected the battery for ONE HOUR, it reset and the a/c flowed like a champ. It really is worth the hour. Oh, make sure the passenger control is at the 12o'clock. That will allow the driver a/c temp control to take over.
