System Charge Fault... HELP
Hey guys,
I have the Loadboss alternator 135A and it reads 14.4 when its idiling and the battery reads the same. But my gague cluster says 12.8 at idle and 13.4 when driving? Where does the PCM get this info? Is it a bad ground? Its worked fine before i put this alternator on. Please help if you can.

I'm not familiar with your alternator as mine is still the stock one. I have had that message exactly one time and that happened minutes before the positive battery post fell off the battery. Just so happens, I had the hood open and looking at it when it this happened. So I would first suggest checking your battery connections and alternator connections.

Had it yesterday and one time last year. The outside temp was 97 degrees and about the same last year. Battery posts checked out OK as did the alternator (stock) connections. I was told to check the battery to starter connection for corrosion (tightness etc.) will do that tomorrow. Only has hapened to me when its been hot. Alt output and battery at 14.1 to 14.3. Let me know what you find out.
