Shifter Problems

IF you just want to check the top mounting bolts, you can probably get to them by just removing the boot. It just snaps in place with a plastic ring inside the lip of the boot. You have to flex the retaining ring inward while carefully lifting up on the boot.

Then the rubber close out cover. This is what you will see once all that is removed:

I have a KIRBAN shifter and it shifts like a well oiled Glock!
Yesterday I started to notice that some of the precision of the shifter was starting to degrade!
. Off the top of my head, I figured that the plastic shift bushing on the internal end of the shifter was worn or damaged:
Well,,,,when I pulled the shift boot off to take a quick look, I noticed that the four fasteners on top of the KIRBAN shifter had worked loose and that was what was causing the slop! It will be a quick fix!
