Default Steering Wheel Shroud Removal

Do you have to remove the steering wheel to replace the plastic shroud that sits behind the steering wheel? I know it comes in 2 pieces and there is a torx screw on the bottom. Are there any short cuts, tips, ...?

Regards-

John

I've got to that point but they don't want to lift out that easy. Have you taken yours completely off? I need to replace mine.

Thanks-

John

yes mine is off completely....

you will have to push thm back in forth, or stick a little screw driver and try to py them apart (dont pry too hard, or you will damage the plactic)

i will take the picture of it (let me find it in my garage)

You do not need to remove steering wheel.

There a two torq screws underneath the bottom case and one screw on the top case that is only accessible aftre you remove the bottom case.

The top screw is on the right side just in front of the turn signal lever. It has a different kind of socket (torq like) except it's on the outer edges, )(not sure of the correct name).

Don't think you need a new case, just re-tighten the upper screw.
