Default FAST intake 78 or 90 mm.?

I want to upgrade to a FAST intake. Is there really any benefit to going with the 90mm. and having to put out the extra $ for a new 90mm throttle body? I have LT headers, G5X3 @ 114 cam, stock heads (for now), 100 shot of nitrous. Also can you connect the nitrous lines directly to the FAST intake instead of using a throttle body plate to spray?
Thanks for any feedback.

I would upgrade the heads first! You could get your set Ported & Polished, buy a set of aftermarket units like AFR, ETP, or TFS and sell your stock heads, or exchange your heads with Livernois for their P&P heads.

The best head for your combination would be AFR's milled to 59cc's, but if you are on a budget go with TSP or PRC stage 1.5 or 2 LS6 heads, or do the Livernois Stage II exchange and be sure to have your stock heads milled down to 62cc or 59cc to bump your compression. Give LGMotorsports a call they will point you in the right direction since it is their cam.

To answer your original question, YES the FAST 90mm intake is worth the money especially on a heads/cam car, you will see 20+rwhp over your stock LS6 intake with the G5X3 and heads with no loss of power down low. Also I would suggest a LS2 throttle body to use with the FAST and just purchase the plug 'n play LS1 to LS2 TB adapter harness.

I am not a nitrous expert but I would presume the best place to place your nozzle would be either in the air bridge or in a TB spray ring. I don't think the spray would be optimized in the intake.

Everything I have read is that the 78 and the 90 will make the same power to about 5,500 RPM at which point the 90 will overtake the 78. The intakes internally are the same, its only the TB flange and size that is different.

I don't know anything about Nitrous but I believe the FAST has ports that can be punched out near each injector for the nozzles. There is also a burst disc that can be added underneath for nitrous use. Best bet is to contact Tony Mamo and get it ported for future expansion to aftermarket heads. He has a lot of experience with this intake
