Help Zo6 or Coupe
Thinkin about getting a vette! Can't decide on a Zo6 or coupe though. I would like to install:
Cams/Heads
Headers/ORY
Exhaust
That's pretty much it...what do you think would be my best bet..and what realistic 1/4 mile times could I maybe expect from this (I know sort of hard to come up with, just curious if someone might know).

coupe is the easiest of all to live with, z06 is best if you want every last drop of performance.
Really need to know what your planned use of the car is, if it's mostly strip/track than z06. It is not hard to make a couple go just as fast though.

First off I own a '01 Convertible. If you absolutely want a hardtop versus a convertible, I would definitely go with the Z06 as they are more limited in production numbers in the first place, and of course they have the better factory cam in them in the for more horsepower than my LS1, so you have the cam already and you also have the 6 speed manual. Limited numbers is always a better choice as far as I am concerned.

I was at the same place you were and I went with the Coupe because I liked the looks better. I still like the look of a Coupe better but I sure spent a lot of money and time getting my car to perform like a Z06. I never take the top off so for me I would have been much better off starting with a Z. Can’t go wrong either way but if I had it to do again I would go with a Z06.
