Need help on AC, it's hot here
the mechanic said it's something electrical. I don't want to take it to the dealer and pay a butt load but that was my recomendation.
the outside temp is always about 10+ degrees over what i know it is actually outside. like 90 degree day, it says like 108.
also the engine seems to be running hot, could that be affecting the outside temp sensor being so close to the radiator. The motor goes to 235ish then you can tell the fans kick on and pull it back down, but it hangs out around 220.
please help, i can't even drive this thing because NC is hott.

The A/C could be a problem with a plug or harness. I would check behind the A/C controls and make sure everything has a good connection. Go over some ground wires, and the plug that goes into the compressor.
Something should turn uo for you. Plus if you already paid the dealer to fix it, and its not fixed, I would bring it back all sweaty and have them guess what your there for.
I have heard about the outside temp sensor setting it self and it doesn't. Mine just reads freaking hott.
This vette is mr. problems. I have a tick which i was told was a freaking rod knock. No ac anymore, car keeps pulling left after i've had it aligned. Powersteering rack seems to be groaning.
this vette is a freaking headache.
any good vette mechanic's in NC

Here is the procedure:
This is the absolute best C5 Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) web site!!!
http://www.corvettedoctor.com/Code_Main.html
http://www.corvettedoctor.com/index.html
Go to “technical data base” and then to “Corvette ECM Computer Codes”. Then select your year car. Read the instructions and then scroll down to the "READ MORE" window to view the code definitions.\
Here is another very good site:
http://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_cod...d-ii-codes.php
Make sure to include the H or C suffix!!
Write down and post your DTC’s Then clear them ALL!
Sound effects are cool too!
Post the DTCs and make sure you try to clear them and see if that fixes the issue.
