Ive been looking at some lowering kits and I notice that it only replaces two bolts in the rear of the car to drop it one inch. Does this only drop the car in the rear? Im looking for a nice even drop, about one inch. Will this do it? Help. Thnx guys.
I purchased my kit from ZIP. Included hardened bolts, washers, nuts to lower rear end and polyurethane bushings for the front suspension. I had a local speed shop do this for me. both the front and rear will be lowered. My car is really low now but I like it a lot and get compliments all the time.
I did the RK Sport Kit. It lowers the rear by using longer bolts; which makes the leaf spring bend more or less; either way it lowers it. The front can be done by just backing off the bolts that go thru the leaf spring. I did the front too and it looks great.
Thnx for the advice guys. Actually I lowered the car last night using stock bolts. It was really easy and done quickly. It gave the car a better stance and filled that wheel gap a little. Looks better than stock.
I know this thread has kinda died, but I was reading the link warpsters post and Im sorry but Im a little confused about the whole cutting of the bushing thing. Exactly where and how much? the front seems to be pretty simple to figure out.
Also I was doing some looking around on the net and came across Eibach lowering links for the C5, anyone else seen or use them. Was wondering what they looked like and are they worth the $50 bucks, or should I stick to using the stock bolt method. I just want to close up the fender gap about an inch is all.
