I just changed my front lower a-arm because the lower ball joint was bad. Got it all put back together and took the car for a spin. Now my steering wheel is slightly cocked to the right. If I put the steering wheel straight, the car veers to the left.
Did I do something wrong ? Did I miss something when reinstalling the a-arm ?

Ray, I don't think an '04 Vette wore out a ball joint. I would guess it was damaged somehow. With $2K worth of tires an $80 4 wheel computer alignment would be in your better interest. If you ever thought of lowering now (before you align it) would be a good time. I aligned my '02 at 14K miles and it was out. $88 including tax at NTB.

You are correct sir ! The guy I purchased the car from never said anything about it but I had the car checked by my buddy (service tech) at a local chevy dealership. He told me the car looked like it had jumped a curb or something. When I pulled off the a-arm there were a few gouges on the bottom some nice scaring all around the ball joint.
So I guess it looks like I'll be headed to my local dealership for an alignment........
You can get away with just aligning the fronts. The only reason to really align the back is if you do a clutch swap, or have quite a few miles. But for the extra 30 bux, might be worth it.
