Getting ready to install my LTs and want to set up the A/F guage.
Questions:
1-Can you piggy back off one of the current 02 sesnors or do you need a complete seperate one? If you can piggyback, which sensor is best?
No, you can't use one of the current sensors, they are narrowband and only read from ~14-15 AFR accurately. You can replace one of current sensors with the wideband sensor that comes with AFR controller. It will simulate a narrowband signal and give wideband readings at the same time. Just make sure the wideband controller that you buy has this feature. (most do) A wideband O2 sensor will read accurately from ~8-20 AFR.
2-If not, where should the bung be placed at approximately? FYI: My cats are gone and walker dynomax bullets are directly in their place.
If you choose not to sim the narrowband with the wideband, weld a bung just downstream of the current sensors, somewhere in the 10 o'clock to 2 o'clock position.
3-Where does everyone run the wire to the driver's side pillar?
I mounted my gauge in the ashtray, that way if I don't want to advertise that I have a wideband, I can just shut the ashtray door.
4-Is there a kit or something to ensure the wire reaches the guage or does the long enough wire come with the guage?
I think the wires for the gauge in mine (PLX SMR-250) were 10 feet long. Other manufacturers should be the same. I mounted my controller in the battery box, next to the firewall, and my wires were still long enough to go to the drivers pillar if I chose to.

I put AEM A/F and FP gauges on my pillar. The AEM controller is in the gauge. Works and looks great. I'm running open loop so I don't use the O2's for anything. I put the WB O2 in the front bung where the stock one goes in my AR LT's.
