Loss of Ground
Here is something new to look out for. Yesterday I discovered a problem with my radiator fans. This morning I got out there and during the troubleshooting, I found that G102 ground connection on top of the right frame rail, had become just slightly loose. Rather than simply tightening it, I elected to take the nut off, clean the post and ground pack connections. I pulled up the ground pack connections when the actual threaded copper post, fell off. No pressure was on this previously and its never been removed before either. I could easily see it was made of copper. Whatever caused this to fail and break off is unknown, but everyone should be aware of this. I connected up a 12 guage stranded wire and grounded seperately using crimp lugs and the frame. 1999 Coupe
