Default DTE , praise to them

with all the recent scuttle about the issue of ill fitting a4 trans braces... I got curious and crawled under my 1998 with a rpm a4 and a DTE brace.

as this brace was installed at DTE,, I want to inform that the trans lines to not hit the brace, the upper bars have rubber isolator to keep the e-brake brackets from making any noise and as far as I can tell, the fuel tank cross over hose clears. ...

DTE went out of their way to make sure all parts had clearance or were covered to prevent any wear or noise.

that is all,,,,

That's awesome for you It appears they did an A+ job on your car!
There is no question they are a good company, but that lil' issue may still linger here and there ,albeit only a very small percentage.....

I had to fix mine, rubber isolaters did not help in my case. That is all.....

Love my brace....

I am sure there are dimensional differences with other cars....mgfrs dont make them all the same when it comes to chassis...

I just wanted to let some know that DTE did notice it was close and procedded to alieve the issue. Some cars might be too close.

This thread will not lead to a negative .....

Well,, I can say I have one bad thing to say about DTE,,,,they keep coming up with new stuff I want,.,,,,,,lol
