Default Stall converter

I have a 00" a4 vette. It kicks in great at 35mph but not at 45mph. I know it not a six speed, so I cant choose my rpm. Will I converter help with this?

This is TECH.
Yes a TC will wake it up, but if you do this concider upgrading to a 3.42 gear , this will realy make a difference, as it will basically cost the same for labour.
But please note that you will have to get it tuned.
If you dont have a tuner in your area get a DIABLO and they will give you a custom tune.
Good luck

A converter or gears would help, obviously both together would help even more.

Could you explain what you mean by this? And be descriptive. A stall may not do a thing for this, as it would most likely be locked by 45 mph anyways.

If near us stop in and test drive a C5 with a stall convertor and see for yourself if you like it.

I guess I'm looking for a quick accelaration at any rpm. I've noticed when I floor it and it starts at 4000 rpms it move out pretty good. I think that becauce that were the highest hp or torqe is. But when it's at starts at 3000 rpm at wot its lacking that punch. If there no way to change that then the rpm from 3000 threw 4000 rpm would need to move quicker right?
