vararam velocity stack installation

vararam velocity stack installation
Can someone tell me how the clips that are included with the vararam velocity stack are intended to be used? I bought one from a forum member and didn't get instructions.

the clip that I got with my velocity stack is hooked on the top of the velocity stack, where it is inside of the tb, and the L shaped part sticks up in the air, straight up, so that when the accordion is pushed onto the tb, the velocity stack is pulled back against the tb.
the little leg of the "L" should be straight up in the air, and the the hose clamp that holds the accordion on the tb should also be clamping on the flat surface of the "L".

Actually that does sound logical. Thanks for the input. As for the clip, I didn't get one with mine either (purchased from forum member) but I called Vararam to ask how the thing was supposed to stay in place and he told me about the clip and sent it to me in the mail. Good guys there at Vararam, huh?
