I have a 98 ls1 in a 51 International pickup (Beautiful truck) with a hot rod harness so I have no diag. help. The truck was running last December but a worn rod bearing prompted an engine rebuild. The engine is back in but will not get fuel. I have narrowed it down to the injectors not getting fuel. A noid light blinks 3 times then stops. A shop tested the crank sensor to be OK but could not figure out what was wrong. I replaced the cam sensor but to no avail. Are the sensors stopped up? I blew them out with Berrymans still no start. The only time it fired was when I spilled some fuel under a sensor.
Desperate for advice, wife wants to sell. Thanks
The LS1 engine requires a Ground for te fuel injectors/coils. On a C5, it two small black wires on the back of the drivers cyl head. There commonly forgotten when eng work is done. Theres also a chassis ground wire on the pass side of the engine block above the starter. It also must be connected (PCM Ground among other things) Hope that helps
