Creaky steering?

Creaky steering?
Sounds like the money pit may be deepening, yay for me...
At slow speeds, or at a stop, the steering has an audible creaky/click type sound when the wheel is turned left or right. I can feel this through the steering wheel as well. I can't perceive any difference in steering at higher speeds.
As a bit of background info, I replaced both outer tie rod ends recently, and had a 4-wheel alignment last week.
Any ideas where I am dumping money next? Is this a symptom of a steering rack going bad?
