You can also use it in the fuel tank for the injectors and fuel system!
Just make sure you follow the directions to the tee!
Thanks,Matt
I had maybe 5 gallons of gas left in my tank and poured the whole can of Seafoam in the tank and let it run to almost empty.
As far as the ping goes, I use a better quality gas that cleared up the ping in my 95 Ram. Where I live in PA, Wawa is a local convenience store that also sells gas, not sure about the quality, but I used to use it and my truck and it would ping like crazy. Then I started using Shell when I took a trip to Daytona Bike week this year. The reason I chose Shell was only by accident, it happened to be the most prevalent and convenient station on the I95 corridor. After a tank and a half of Shell regular, the ping was gone… After I came back from the trip, I went back to the cheap gas and the ping came back after a couple tanks. Now I’ve religiously gone back to Shell, using the Vpower for the Vette and regular for the truck.
Use a better quality of gas and you might not need the Seafoam. I also used the Seafoam in the truck, since I’ve been using Shell, there was no noticeable performance difference.
Just my $.02
The first application was at about 15,000K, the car was 2-1/2 years old. Smoked like crazy for about 5 minutes. Since then, I have done it a couple more times maybe every 8 months or 10,000 miles. Doesn't seem to smoke as much in later applications.
A GM dealer said that they use the top end cleaner every time a verhicle comes in for a service and tune (plugs, oil change, etc.)
That's a good enough recommendation for me.
Go for it.
