Windshield Wiper problem
I was turning a corner and mid turn the passenger wiper blade came up on the windshield while the driver side wiper blade only moved a little. I don’t know if I accidentally hit the stalk but I could have mid turn. Got home, wiggled and positioned the arms, turned the wipers on and this time the passenger side moved up over the driver side arm bending it.
The driver side arm hardly moved. Should I assume it is time to replace motor, module, clean udders, replace bent blade, etc. OR is there another explanation I should check. Car is rarely driven the rain. Thanks in advance for your replies. Bob
Open it up and see what you find. My old chrysler had plastic seats for the linkage which would eventually fail and necessitate a trip to the junk yard (EXCUSE ME AUTO RECYCLING CENTER). Take a look at the linkage. Might just be something OFF the pivot. I removed the drivers wiper about a year ago for another problem and put it back on and tightened it to what I THOUGHT was tight. The arm slipped and I would up tightening it to where I felt it was going to snap any second.
You might just have a loose bolt on the arm. You need to carefully remove the plastic cover at the base of the arm to get to the bolt.
GOOD LUCK
