Headlight Twilight Sentinel

In a recent thread about de-activating the twilight sentinel, Bill Curlee wrote, "It's an option that can be programmed out of the BCM using a dealer GM TECH II programmer..... The BCM can only be accessed with the GM TECH II."

I just had a new BCM installed by a dealer and now I can't turn off the twilight sentinel. Can the dealer use a GM TECH II to program the disengage feature back in?

Yes he can, or you can pull #42 fuse under the passengers floorboard. It turns off the twilight function, but leaves everything else the same.

On my C5, I turned off Twilight through the DIC – Options. No BCM reprogramming; No fuse pulling. Am I missing something?

No, I don't think your missing anything. My car was like yours until the dealership replaced the BCM. Now I can't disable the twilight sentinel using the DIC Options button so it will need to be reprogrammed.
