Default How can I get my c6 shift **** to stop rotating?!?

I bought a sweet looking c6 shift **** which I really like but I cannot get it to screw on tight enough. It is ok on normal driving but rotates on hard shifts. Does anyone know how I can tighten this sucker down?

Typically, a set screw is torqued against a flat in the shaft to which the (in this case) shift **** is secured. I'm not sure what the geometry is in your case, but if the set screw is torqued against a round shaft, it is doomed to rotate. You might be able to machine a flat on the shaft if you have a rotary bit tool.

Maybe just use a little lock tight.
