Default Valve cover spacers

Is there anyone here using valve cover spacers to clear the aftermarket rockers and if so did you have to get longer spark plug wires?
Where do you buy longer spark plug wires?

Thanks

1/2", glad I didn't go with the 1" ones.I guess they have them for the relocation of the coil packs.

Never mind, I figured it out...just use truck or suv coil wires, they are a little longer...and can be gotten at the local dealer.

I have 1/2" spacers to clear my Jesel's, and have no issue with wire length. Using MSD's.

Are they the same lenght as the OEM wires? My stock wires fit, but close with the kool socks I have on them, infact the one on #4 cylinder in against the oil stick tube and very close to the header. So I may have to go to a longer set.

Are those spacers really neccessary, I grinded out my valvecovers inside when fitting my Jesels and it seems to be enough clearence when handturning the engine?

Where do you guys get hold of the spacers?

I have Jesel's and hogged my covers out and they clear, but I also bought 1/2" spacers and tried to use them, but the alternator got in the way. On my car I need to reposition the alternator. What are you guys that are using 1/2" spacers doing for this, or do you not have interference with the alternator? Hope this isn't looked at as a hijack, just pointing out the problem I had with my car.

Ok, I will try without and see. What made you go with spacers since your covers cleared? Just curious.

My VC is snug under the alternator. I just swang it out of the way and then pushed it back in place....so far it's good.

I initially just used a home made very small bracket to move the first coil. Then I got a bullet alternator extension from A&A Corvette. Its about 3" in extension.

I had .050" shims under the mounting bars to get a good wipe on the valve tip and the rockers hit the valve cover, even with some serious hogging. I had to go with .025" shims and it clears, but not by much, and my wipe is just slightly wider.

Is there any aftermarket valvecovers out there, can buy complete ones that is higher and fits with Jesels?
