hello,
I want to upgrade my air intake but can't decide wich make. they all promise alot hp improve. is it true?does another intake manifold make big difference? I have already a blackwing airfilter and want to choose the BBK manifold+80mm trottlebody. Am I gonna feel the difference? and do I need to dynotune after install? thank for helping me out!

Sweet looking car! I was reading somewhere that the LS6 intake got a guy 24RWHP but I think it depends on your setup. Do you mean you have the BBK air bridge and 80mm TB? If thats the case I would work on getting more air out. If you dont have exhaust I think that you would be better spending money on a nice catback. Thats just my opinion, but if I was going to change intakes I would get the LS6.

Oh nice! I love B&B!!! I would say go with the LS6 if it was me. Vortech makes a nice intake Should pick up at least 150RWHP with the right pulley.

LS6 is the only intake you need for your level of mods, and if you have a 2001 or up you already have it from GM

The aluminum intakes add a lot of weight as well and I would steer clear for this reason alone. As others have stated, depending on your year, go with the LS6 if you have an earlier car. With later mods the FAST becomes an option and that actually removes a few pounds.

I agree. A lot of people get wrapped up in the hype of intake mods. If you are under 500 rwhp, you only need a good cold air intake and switch from a LS1 to a LS6 intake manifold if necessary. The other intake manifolds, MAFs, throttle bodies, and so forth are a waste of money for the gains they give.
