I just purchased my first vette, an 04 MN6. The stock exhaust system is too quiet. I will be putting a cat-back on eventually. There are so many to choose from. I occasionally go on 8 hour long trips. I want a system that has no or limited resonance/drone at highway speeds. Which cat-back exhaust systems have little or no resonance.
My Corsa exhaust has no drone/resonance and sounds wicked when you're on the gas. I've won 2 "hot pipes" trophies with it and can still talk on my cell in the car. I have the Indy's not the touring btw.

I am running the pace cars with American Racing LT's.
Corsa is indeed pretty good in regards to resonance. Honestly the actual sound isn't for everyone. I would listen to some systems before you decide - I couldn't stand my Corsa Indys myself (came with the car) so I sold them. Now I have open cutouts - much better
Z06 titanium catbacks.
You can usually find them in the parts section for $400 - $450.
Nice and quite at low RPM or highway cruising speed but once you go WOT they scream. I run mine with LG’s Street long tubes and have no resonance at any speed at all.
Sound is utterly subjective, but every system has a resonance at some rpm. Some the drone is fairly quiet (OEM), the Z06 is a bit louder through its resonance, and so it goes.
You really, *really*, need to find someone with an aftermarket system that you can listen to on the road.
That said, not all catbacks sound the same and resonance might not be a bad thing if you like the sound.
Personally, I am very pleased with my Corsa Touring set up. Sounds good at idle, awesome at WOT and there is never any annoying drone.
I rented a Mustang this weekend and it seemed like Ford tried to build some "sound" into the exhaust. The car was a dog and I got sick of listening to this constant drone and it was only a single exhaust.
Better lsiten to some different cars and buy something you like.

HTH, and have a good one,
Mike
I have Corsa Indy's and they do have resonance...... but it's higher up in the RPM band (2500-3000rpm). At 1500-2000 (freeway rpm) there is no resonance, so they tend to be quite pleasant. But as soon as you put your foot into it..... they scream
Got Corsa pacecar, i didnt like the sound at first, thought it was to soft.....I grew in to them and wouldnt have anything else on there, well maybe some Indy's but pretty much the same difference
Wow, lots of positive comments on Corsa. I heard a awesome sound at WOT from a C6 last weekend with Corsa mufflers. They have a big following in the corvette community (I had a Z28 until last month)
I was wondering if anyone had any comments about Magnaflow?
Great responses everyone. Please keep them coming.

I assume resonance and drone are the same thing.
Thanks in advance.
I have GHL Magnum's with LT headers and high flow cats - zero resonance and an incredibly deep muscle car sound! I've had Corsa, Bassani, Stingers. None come close to the GHL's!

OH,,,,yes!! I CURRENTLY have the stainless works 3" system and there is no drone, and I am very very happy with it!!!!! On the other hand,,,, I have expierenced the GHL maginum system an WOW! Its something that I would highly recommend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would have to agree with SDLS1Rider!!

I have Corsa Pace and they are great, your gas milage will go down .
Another vote for Corsas. The Pace car version was too loud with my mods, until I added cats, now they're nice. Louder than the Magnaflows, and yet quieter at cruise. Weird combo. I've also had stock Tis, and Borla Stingers, the latter having much resonance. If you plan on keeping the rest of the exhaust stock, get the Pace car version.
