Default Changing intake, what else to do while I am in there?

I'm going to be installing a LS6 intake and some injectors in the next couple of weeks, what else should I address while I've got the intake off, maybe knock sensors? What else?

Thanks

You could while it's off slap in a new OIL PRESSURE SENSOR!

You see how they go bad and if it's been a long time in there maybe nows the time!

Thanks,Matt

I've got the coolant line stuff. Since it's a DD I thought I'd leave the TB bypass alone.

'splain the oil pressure sensor thing; how will that "clean up" the top of the motor.

TB bypass is not a worthwile mod to do, regardless of what you do with the car.

If you think you will ever want to remove the AIR smog system, the hardest part of the job is getting the intake off to get a mounting bolt on the back of the driver side head.

I would be more than happy to get rid of the AIR system, can I program our the error codes with the HP Tuner suite? What else is involved?

The oil pressure sensor is located behind the manifold against the firewall.

And there is two ways to get to it later:

1.Remove the manifold to change it when it goes out(You know when it always peggs at 80 psi)

2.Cut a hole in the cowl under the winshield wiper area!

Here is a post on the subject with tons of info!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but shouldn't he also waterproof the knock sensors while he's got the intake off?

Not sure if that program will, but it should. The only thing else you need is the block off plates for your exhaust and make up a plug for the air box connection.

I'm thinking of changing to an LS6 intake too. How do you water proof the knock sensors?

Thanks,

Should he get a LS6 style valley cover for improved crankcase ventilation?
