Currently Have H/c Combo. My Question Is If I Add A Small Shot Of Nos Say 100hp Would It Be A Problem With My Transmission Holding Up. Bc If So Then It Is Not Going To Happen For Me
Im running the g5x3 with a 100 shot and everything is fine. I will be adding heads soon and spraying 125 shot. I wont be drag racing my car so I will be fine. It just all depends on how you drive it. Im hoping to be around 600rwhp
I have a 100 wet shot a my hds/cam 98 with stk trans--no problems--however i do have a window switch that turns off the NOS while the trans is shifting so it isn't as hard on it---I would recc. one --I have a Dyno Tune window/TPS switch
Put in a Window Switch so you don't spray through the shifts. Then it will be fine. If you're spraying an auto through the shifts, it will take it.. just for "how long" it will last doing it.
Yes---I have the NOS come on at 4100 RPM's and off at 5800--When it shifts it drops down to 4000 RPM's in between gears so that gives me a 100 rpm safety area--Shift poits are set at 6000--giving me a 200 RPM safety area at WOT shift--Actually it is more like a 80 HP bump as I toned it back somewhat--Timing it set at 24* durning the whole activation area--with LS6 mildly ported heads---Motor RWHP is 390.
Best ET with DR's is 12.64 on motor
Best ET with 80 shot is only 12.45.
I need gears as I have 3.15's and it makes my 60' times suffer badly--average around 2.0 to 1.90
I was surprised to see that an 80 shot only netted me 2 tenths as you think it would be greater----
0 knock retard with 50/50 mix of 91 octane pump gas & sunoco 106
