wanted to do some bolt on mods for a new 02 coupe. Wanted some good ideas from some of you guys since i was lookin around the posts and saw some interesting stuff. Im not lookin to break the sound barrier i have my Gixxer 1000 for that :D . just lookin to spruce things up a bit maybe 30 or 40 HP. Thanx for ant help!!!
Not everyone there is into heavy mods. That's really where you'll get the best response.
If I dare stereotype, I think many of the folks who really take satisfaction from keeping their 'vette at 110% (and hang out here) also tend to be purists in regard to mods. Especially since most all mods decrease the resale value of the car (if I'm looking for a used vette, either newer or 30 years old, I want it STOCK).
But with this many 'vette owners, you have the full spectrum. I have Nothing against mods (except when buying). It's going to take tremendous discipline to not mod my Z06 :)
My only chance of resisting comes from having a full on track car already. "Father, I have had six impure thoughts of stroking my Z06 in the past week".
From what I have read, the air box swap is the best mod for the money. The Corsa Indy Exhaust system is nice too (sounds real good, I have heard both touring and Indy, and I like the indy). My car is still stock, but I plan on making these two changes to it.
