UPF44 Oil Filter...
I've been using UPF44 Oil Filters in my 2001 Vette. Is there a good replacement for the UPF44? I was able to find some UPF44 filters on the internet for $10.00 each plus shipping. Is there a good replacement for the UPF44 or should I continue with this filter?

There is a thread somewhere in this board that discusses how the NAPA Gold filter has lower restriction than the UPF44. If you don't race your Corvette, it's probably overkill trying to get "the best" filter out there.
Personally, I go back and forth among a few brands. Mobil1 and Purolator PureOne are two among the brands I use. I want to try NAPA Gold next after I have gone through these two Mobil1 filters I got for really cheap.

A lot of people go out of their way to get the old UPF-44 filters, but as stated above, with finer filtration comes more flow restriction.
I would switch to the Wix 51042, or just stay with the standard AC Delco PF46. (Wix also makes the NAPA Gold series) You can also get 2 of the Wix filters for $9.00 instead of $10 each.

You can get either the relatively new AMSOIL Ea Oil Filter (C5 part number EAO32) or the Wix 51042 mentioned above from AMSOIL. Ordering Info in my signature.
