Default Hooray, Wheel Speed Sensor issues

I have just started getting the following codes (on two different days so far):

C1225 RF Excessive Wheel Speed Variation
C1232 LF Wheel Speed Circuit Open or Shorted

If I'm lucky it will just be bad harnesses, if I'm not luck then I guess it's off to Absfixer I go.

Stay tuned as I try to figure this crap out.

Hey, before doing a lot of work. Clean up your ground points in the engine bay, read the sticky on electrical info for locations and such. My wheel speed sensor issues went away after cleaning mine, and they did not look bad... Its not a bad place to start as its pretty easy to do...

Thanks, I'll start with that and go from there if need be.

I've replaced dozens of harnesses, you can do this in the driveway with the wheel at full lock

I've also replaced dozens of wheel bearings/sensors, all due to excessive noise/wear, none for electrical

I agree with Steve!! I also have never seen the speed sensors in any wheel hub go bad. There pretty much bullet proof.
If the bearings are goiod and the external wiring and connector on the hub are good, I wouldnt change the HUB!

Look at the jumper cable or the female connectors on the main harness (the one on the frame that the jumper harness plugs into) or the jumper femals pins.

Will do. I too am convinced that the problem is not my wheel bearings and hopefully just the harness/connectors. I'll swap out the wires over the weekend (or as soon as I can find the parts) and report back my findings.

Thanks guys.

sometimes a healthy shot of electrical spray cleaner solves connection problems pretty painlessly.

I just took apart my left front wheel speed sensor. ABS, and traction control started going out sporadically, then to the point of regularly usually when I hit a bump. The wire coming out the back of the hub didn't have enough slack, and caused the wire to break inside the insulation right where it goes through the grommet. I thought this could be the same problem for other people who are having this same type of issue. Also I don't have a service manual, should I use any thread lock on the large torx bolts that hold the hub. This is my first post so if I've done it wrong my apologies. I will say this site has been very helpful as I've read others' posts trying to garner info for myself.
