Help! Steering Position Sensor Circuit
Can anyone help me with code C1287, Steering Position Sensor Circuit?
I get this code with an Active Handling / Service Engine Soon warning on my 2004 LS1 coupe.
Can anyone give me a starting place to trouble shoot this repair? By the way...all of you at the forum are awesome. Best website on the internet.

i am working on the same issue. i had a d-dim gps install and now i am getting steering sensor and yaw codes, checked all wires and they look alright. i dont know if there is any fuses but going to check. also could be a calabration issue, going to do more digging saturday. you can run car but drive acordingly.

The sensor may have gone bad.
Bill Curlee posted a great guide on how to clean up the connectors and grounds. He had the full symptoms with the AH/ABS captions. Even so it may work and its the cheapest fix if it does.
