Turn on the A/C and head lights, check what voltage your DIC says and report back.

I don't know about you, but I've learned not to take advice from my DIC anymore. Every time I do what IT wants I get into trouble.

All kidding aside, I had similar problems just this past week. Flickering interior lights and no power to the drivers side door (couldn't raise/lower window, no locks, etc).
Check out the famous C5 Ground thread, specifically page 19:
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...896875&page=19

My problem wasn't the actual connectors as in post 365, but if you trace those wires through the grommet under the dash and up under the dash, one of the wires there was loose and causing a grounding problem (as well as a loss of 12 volt line). Some pushes and wiggles and for now it seems to be immune from coming undone, but I know eventually I'll have to get up under there and re-do the connection correctly.

Sounds like it could be a grounding problem.
