Is there anyway to convert the front end of a c5 to a c6? I'm really not liking how the c5 draws air from the bottom. its like the city dump under there.
You probably already know that you can DIY or buy an after market screen to close off the bottom end beneath the radiator to road debris and roadkill. Look at supporting vendor ELITE ENGINEERING for one such product.

The C6 is also a bottom breather.
But yes, the sawsall will do it. Take off 5" of the front frame rails and then reweld the cross bumper steel rail
My C5 is a front breather, but I do have a screen to keep the road clag and grass out

SO I just cut 5" off the front and weld in the C6 piece? Then just get c6 fenders, hood and headlights? seems simple enough....
Well you have to move the radiator, relocate the front suppension mounting points and lots of other parts too. AND use the Speed World GT C6Z body parts, not the GM body parts. The C6 is 1" narrower then the C5.
Most of the World Challange c6z corvettes started life as a C5 frame.
Yeah but the front totally wont match the back, it will look like a hacked together piece of ****?! The lines of a C6 are COMPLETELY different...
Yes it would. However, I get the feeling that Lone_sword doesn't care about the body lines. Asthetics are not important to him. What's REALLY important to him is reducing the amount of debris that collects on the radiator.

I say GO FOR IT Lone_sword!!! Please post LOTS of pictures of the transformation showing how to protect our radiators by installing a C6 front end.

Allthough i would like to see what it would take to do this kinda transormation and all the pics. especially after seeing the thread about the guy who merged a wrecked C5 with a Honda civic. ( i wouldnt want to try either of them )
i must say it would be far easier to just undo the top radiator cover and the lower front radiator shrowd and clean the radiator fins on a yearly basis than to try and put a C6 front end on a C5. but.... who knows. you may have one heck of a thread to post afterwards.
