Does anyone have any pics of the crome double cone K&N air filter and how much power can I expect? Some one has one for sale for 100.00. Is it worth it.
I have one on my car and love it, well worth the $100 investment. I will try and get you a pick ASAP. The only other thing I would do, and I have seen pics of it on here, is drill holes in plastic area next to the fox lamps, which will allow even more cooler air to get to the air filter, hence, more horsepower! I would go for the purchase, but thats just me hopefully a few more people will offer their opinion too.
Some manufacturers of these Ram Air Intakes claim up to 15 HP gains...I dont think its that much...to me, I like the look, they have to be less restrictive, and are much easier to maintain over the stock setup...
Hey Bkazepis, how much did the Amsoil filters cost ya?
Um..they werent cheap...about $100.00 for both...so I got the whole setup for $150.00 with what are supposed to be far superior filters..so Im Happy...
If anyone is interested, drop me a PM with the EA part number (or K&N filter part that I can cross reference), and I'll let you know exact Preferred Customer Program and Retail pricing info.

I just installed one today that I bought off of ebay on my 2000 coupe, I also added the weather stripping for the front of the hood and a smooth air coupler to replace the accordian OEM. I plan on doing the cut-out next to the foglights this weekend. I don't think I will get 20+ horsepower in the mods as the ads claim, I would think 3-5hp at best. To compare ,I just read dyno results on a 99' FRC where 16hp gain was acheived with headers and an aftermarket catback system.

I purchased mine through the Preferred Customer Program...the Amsoil part number that fit the Ram Air system I bought is EAAU3555 which has a 3.5 inch ID...
I recently discussed the ram air filters with a gentleman from Callaway Corvettes. He told me that they tested all the after market air filtiers before they developed the Honker. He said that the Blackwing dyno'd at 12 HP and their Honker dyno'd at 17.8 hp gain.
