Any Ideas? Need Help!
Car started misfiring on the HWY. I checked the codes: PO300. Also a MAF code. I checked connections to: MAF, MAT, Fuel Injectors, Sparkplugs & wires.
All looked good.
Took to shop, all but the #8 cylinder plugs dry. The "reduced engine power" was not lit, so I wasnt sure if this was the cylinder that gets knocked out in limp mode...wondering if "limp mode" only happens when this message is lit.
Anyone have any ideas what the source of the problem could be???
No mechanical sounds, like broken valve springs or bent pushrods. I suppose I'll know more when the guy checks compression and the ignition pack on the #8....
Broken Valve spring. Again. Jeez. What the heck type of spring did ProAuto Tech use in their packages, anyways???
OK.
Whats the difference between dual valve springs and replacements?
I see comp cams has a new (stronger) part out there...is it a decent replacement? Comp Cams #26918-16
I have heard that a few people have had problems with springs in higher-lift
motors. I was hoping to hear from someone as to, or if there is a "Better choice" spring for a cam with a lift of, I think, 0.559.
Bueller?
