I love the way my C5 looks after I lowered it down using the stock bolts. Another thing, I noticed a definite handling difference, the car seemed a bit more responsive. I don't know if there is a scientific reason for this, but I'm very happy with the effects of lowering it down a bit. Chevy raised the C5 up a bit just to account for everyday occurances like steep driveways, speed bumps, etc. I lowered mine down and I'm taking my chances, but I've had no problems in over 8k miles of driving 'lowered.'
I had a Honda Prelude VTEC before my C5 and I put Eibach springs which lowered the car and stiffened up the handling. I can GUARANTEE you, my C5 DOES NOT emulate my Honda or any so-called 'ricer.'
Opinions are like azzholes, we all have one, and yours is definitely stinking. :D

Re: Lowering My Vette! (Mark S.)
Lowering your car has been around long before the ricer :cuss It's another useful Modification we HOT RODDERS use to keep our cars on the Cutting edge. I've never had a problem bottoming out & I bet in a race or standing still I'll aways be the cooler Vette
