Lambo Door Kit On A C5
Just wanting to know if anyone has a Lambo door kit on their C5?
How do you like it?
Does it make it easier to get in and out of the car?
How's the fit and finish?
Any water leaking problems?
Any HORROR stories?
I want all the info I can get besides the sales pitch from the companies offering the kits.
Thanks
I run the L.S.D kit on my car is and like them a lot. You can open the door regularly and only lift them when you want to. The doors always close correctly and for the most part have be maintenance free. They are a direct bolt on but do require some trimming of the fender and the door. Fairly straightforward install.
I am not a vendor for them, but am in the process of doing so. I've had them for probably close to a year.

My buddy had them on for a few years and loved them. No leaking. He recently took them off to save weight for drag racing. He is likely going to sell them.

Never heard of a kit that opens standard or Lambo in one package. Do you have any details as far as price, website, installers, etc. Thanks

I might be interested in buying them. Got any details?
Thanks
Sorry, I'll try to get them on the horn again in the morning. Will probably be around lunchtime since they are in Cali. Don't know any installers in TN but I can install them here in Houston.

If they have a website/video clip to see how they operate, that would be great. I've seen some Lambo kits that don't raise the door up enough and it can be a real pain to get in. If I go with them, I'll see if I can get them installed locally. Don't have enough vacation left this year to make the trip.

Check with CF member MOLTEN. He has them, among other mods, and his car looks pretty sharp.
how about the vertical door kit from xtreme-doors.com anyone have that? By the way do they all involve cutting the stock wires and rewelding everything?

Haven't heard of them. I spoke to a body guy in my area who has installed vert. doors on several different types of vehicles and he suggested NOT going with a low cost (cheap) kit . He said you DO get what you pay for when it comes to this application.
For those of you with the LSD kit - What, if any maintenence needs to be done over time to them.
Is it better or worse (more or less room) when getting in/out of the car with the lambo doors?
Also - Are the doors idiot proof? (meaning if you have to drop your car off at the dealer do you have to show them how to open/close the door so nothing gets broken) ?
