The door needs that inner lip that fills the gap between the frnt fender and the door trimmed. Don’t know what fender trimming is necessary most probably the inside plastics so that mechanism can clear. The worst is cutting all the cables going into the door and extending them. Will keep you posted as I install my kit.

That doesn't sound too painful. Just want to be able to return it back to stock if needed.
Haven't heard of them. I spoke to a body guy in my area who has installed vert. doors on several different types of vehicles and he suggested NOT going with a low cost (cheap) kit . He said you DO get what you pay for when it comes to this application.
pm vettes4fun, he has the LSD kit on his car. He can also tell you about the install and which kits not to buy.
For those of you with the LSD kit - What, if any maintenence needs to be done over time to them.
Is it better or worse (more or less room) when getting in/out of the car with the lambo doors?
Also - Are the doors idiot proof? (meaning if you have to drop your car off at the dealer do you have to show them how to open/close the door so nothing gets broken) ?
For those of you with the LSD kit - What, if any maintenance needs to be done over time to them.re-adjust once in awhile due to the bolts loosening - you will also notice a different feel when this happens I'm told.
Is it better or worse (more or less room) when getting in/out of the car with the lambo doors.I find this in not any more difficult once you relearn the posture position to enter/exit
Also - Are the doors idiot proof? (meaning if you have to drop your car off at the dealer do you have to show them how to open/close the door so nothing gets broken) .no - you must explain that the must be absolutely all the way down when closed or the door strike will hit the door and cause a trip to the body shop .
No
Thanks.
Answers in red above - I must say I am relatively new to them but talked to others that have had the LSD's for awhile - they are happy as am I so far..............

That helps a lot in my decision. With the input I've received from the forum and other sources. I may go with the Vert. doors, but it may be something I save for a future project.
Any one else have an idea??
Just wanting to know if anyone has a Lambo door kit on their C5?
How do you like it?
Does it make it easier to get in and out of the car?
How's the fit and finish?
Any water leaking problems?
Any HORROR stories?
I want all the info I can get besides the sales pitch from the companies offering the kits.
Thanks
I have 04 C5 with lambo doors. I love the look of them but they at times cumbersome and are heavy to open. Im 60 yoa so getting hard for me, but love them. One door falls down so im going to change the shocks that hold them up.
I'm trying to figure out what pound of shocks I need?? Anyone know answer?
